Simonetta strengthens its retail expansion plan in Far East
2015 is turning out to be for Simonetta the year of its Far East consolidation and expansion policy, with China in first place in terms of retail openings.
In the last quarter, the brand has opened three new stores with its partner Evergreen Limited. Two boutiques, one on the Promenade of the brand new Galaxy Phase 2 in Macau and the other one in the prestigious IFS (International Finance Square) Mall in Chengdu, and a Shop in Shop in Qingdao, located within the luxurious Hisense Plaza Shopping Mall.
“The recent store openings on the Chinese market represent a further step in the strategy we adopted two years ago,” explains Roberto Stronati, Simonetta Chairman. “Our company has recently invested in commercial, marketing and style/product development in order to adapt our offer to the largest market in the world”. Roberto Stronati concludes by stating that “Asian markets in general are and will continue to be at the forefront of our focus. In addition to China we are also expanding in Taiwan, Korea and Japan, countries where we have had commercial presence for decades.”
In this respect, the retail expansion plan is part of a wider strategy involving the opening of other important Flagship Stores over the next three years, the first of which scheduled for spring 2016. International export-share currently reaches 75% of the brand’s total turnover.

inauguration of Expo 2015. The refined, graphic and colourful iconic pieces of the Simonetta SS 2015 collection are being displayed in a contemporary, joyous and playful setting echoing the same distinctive elements of the concept store as featured in its Milan Flagship store in Via Manzoni. In particular the house-shaped closets and polka-dot motif in mini version on the
bright walls to the multi-coloured version on the floor outlining the display area. The Simonetta Pop-Up store represents a happy return to this prestigious location, dedicated to an all-around exciting and full-filled shopping experience for childrenswear.
Simonetta and Pasta Grano Armando together for Expo
Simonetta dedicates the window of its Milan Flagship Store to Expo Milano 2015, with an outstanding partner: Pasta Grano Armando, a pasta maker from Campania Region which, through its all-Italian products, expresses the values of genuineness, simplicity and integrity of the farming tradition.
In a combination of fashion and food the two companies, which represent Italy’s entrepreneurial excellence, come together with the aim of increasing awareness of food
education and healthy eating, in particular for children.
For the coming month of May the Simonetta Flagship Store window at Via Manzoni 42 has been fitted out to reference and emphasize the colours of the Italian flag in a set of foodrelated
products. A simple and light setting which recalls a kitchen cupboard displaying jars of pasta, tomato and basil, iconic products of the Italian culinary tradition which
provide a frame for the sophisticated and colourful Simonetta clothes .
Thus the two companies, taking as their inspiration the Expo slogan “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”, set out to highlight that excellence, quality and details attention can also
be found in Italy’s simple and genuine things.
