Simonetta’s New Openings Worldwide
Simonetta continues to pursue its retail expansion policy. After inaugurating a new boutique at the end of 2015 — opened together with its long-standing partner, the Chaloub Group, on the kidswear floor of the brand-new Tryano Yass Mall in Abu Dhabi — the Italian fashion brand aims at consolidating its presence in the Middle East through a new opening in the City Walk mall in Dubai next April.
This will be the fourth Simonetta boutique in the Arab Emirates, where the company already has a shop–in-shop in Galeries LaFayette in the Dubai Mall and a flagship store in the Al Garawi Galleria in Riyadh.
The new Abu Dhabi store in the Tryano Yass Mall, showcasing the Simonetta, Simonetta Mini and Simonetta Tiny collections, is designed to provide a true shopping experience to consumers seeking quality and exclusivity — typical features of “Italian aspirational luxury” — whose needs can be fully met by a brand such as Simonetta.
In addition, Simonetta intends to expand beyond the Middle East boundaries. Following the recent openings in Macau, Chengdu and Qingdao, 2016 witnessed an important achievement in the Far East, the second market of reference for the leading Made in Italy kidswear brand. Simonetta has recently inaugurated a shop-in-shop inside the Kissocool multi-brand store in the Kerry Centre in Shanghai — in the heart of the Jing’an district — and is planning to add another one by the first half of the year, in the new Kissocool store soon to be opened inside the MIXC Phase II mall in Hangzhou.
Thanks to its presence inside Kissocool — a new multi-brand concept developed by its partner Evergreen — Simonetta will reach all Far East’s most important department stores.
These new openings are part of an accurate retail expansion strategy, that Simonetta is currently defining. The plan envisages a strong positioning within major distribution channels and, in the medium term, the opening of flagship stores in the main European capitals as well.

Simonetta opens its 82nd edition of Pitti Immagine Bimbo in a completely new way. The company will be present at this important event with the film “Let the Journey Begin,” a special tribute from Pitti Immagine that focuses on Simonetta’s values. The film highlights how Simonetta has succeeded in becoming a key player in the kidswear industry globally thanks to its unique, unmistakable style and an extensive internationalisation process that over the years has led the company to open many flagship stores and shop-in-shops and in the most prestigious malls all over the word.

“We have always been present at Pitti Bimbo, since its very first edition. From the beginning, this fashion fair has undoubtedly showcased our evolution over the years. The film dedicated to us has managed to capture what we are today, in a light-hearted and imaginative way,” concluded Mr. Stronati.
In the film, produced by Pitti Immagine to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its collaboration with the company, Simonetta comes to life, becomes a character and takes a little girl by the hand on a journey around the world via all of the themes of past and future collections. It is a mix of curiosity, discovery and magic, with a special focus on the sensibility and concrete nature that have always distinguished this Italian company.
“Let the Journey Begin” will be previewed for the press and guests on January 21st at 12:30 p.m. in the Polveriera space, which will feature an installation of the most important pieces from the 2016-2017 F/W collection. The film will be shown again at 12 noon the day after.
Simonetta Christmas Story: the amusing adventures of a grandfather and his grandchildren,narrated in a digital photo story
This Christmas, starting today Thursday Dec. 3rd, Simonetta launches a special digital campaign. A tale featured in 8 frames on the brand favourite social networks; Facebook and Instagram followers will be able to experience this new Simonetta adventure, right until Christmas Eve.
The spirit of the campaign is to explore the emotional world, which is the affective link between different generations. In an essential and contemporary style, the photo sequences portray the true relationship between grandfather and grandchildren in various lively and amusing situations.
Centre-stage in the story are few iconic outfits of the Simonetta and Simonetta Mini FW 15/16 collections: flashes of gold, warm reds and bright blue shades colour the playful scenes of everyday life between the youngsters and their grandfather.
Playing the grandfather, an exceptional personality: Gianni Garko, famous actor whose career has ranged from cinema to theatre to television, working with renowned producers and directors such as Luchino Visconti, Luigi Comencini, Giorgio Strehler, Luca Ronconi and Gillo Pontecorvo.
The Christmas Story 2015 is Simonetta’s surprising and original festive greeting, which, through the internet, aspires to promote the truest sentiments and emotions.
