Style and solidarity strongly intertwined, and it’s party time! When children’s fashion rediscovers the value of fun and life.
Simonetta brings Pigotta dolls to the Pitti Immagine Bimbo Fair. These are the special UNICEF rag dolls that are symbols of sweetness and joy, made by hand with the fantasy and creativity of grandparents, parents and children from all over Italy.
This is an extraordinary event of solidarity organised by Simonetta in support of UNICEF and will take place on Thursday 19th January 2012 from 12:15 pm to 2:15 pm at the Teatrino Lorenese della Fortezza da Basso in Florence.
500 wonderful Pigotta dolls adopted by Simonetta will be the protagonists. For the occasion, they will be wearing highly tailored elegant mini-dresses created through the exclusive use of some of the most precious fabrics of the historic archive of the Company from Jesi.
A little creative laboratory will also be set up where children can have fun giving the final touch to these elegant and refined solidarity dolls.
The initiative was born from a meeting between the Stronati Family with their sensitivity towards the world of children and Cristiana Acqua, President of UNICEF Marche, who immediately involved the President of UNICEF Italy, Paola Bianchi, and Sandra Buyet, President of the Provincial Committee of UNICEF Florence.
Every adopted Pigotta doll represents the saved life of a child of Central and Western Africa thanks to the lifesaving ACSD (Accelerated Child Survival and Development) programme that provides medical cures, drinking water, therapeutic nourishment and anti-malaria mosquito nets. This is an intervention package capable of helping over 396,000 children in Benin, the Central African Republic, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal and Togo.
The actors Beppe Fiorello and Camilla Filippi are also highlyanticipated. They will honour Simonetta with their presence by demonstrating, with their support, great concern for such an important project.
With the UNICEF Pigotta dolls Simonetta is once again confirming its love of children.
